QDOBA is treating dipping as a season rather than a single product launch.
The fast-casual chain said its “Diptember” campaign runs from September 1 through November 2. It centers on a new limited-time Queso Fundido made with the chain’s three-cheese queso, seasoned ground beef, picante ranch and cilantro, served with tortilla chips and starting at $6.25.
The campaign also gathers 14 dips, salsas and sauces under one message. That breadth gives QDOBA more material than a conventional limited-time offer: a new savory item, a first sweet dip, menu customization and several promotional dates can all support separate customer reminders.
QDOBA is using digital offers to create those reminders. The company announced an opening discount for orders containing Queso Fundido, followed by offers tied to National Guacamole Day and National Queso Day. The specific terms and participating channels vary, which makes the company’s own offer details important for customers.
The operating advantage is repetition. A restaurant normally gets one announcement from one product. QDOBA has built a calendar in which the same platform can generate multiple messages without requiring a completely new menu item each week.
The strategy also reinforces an existing brand promise. QDOBA allows guests to add many dips and toppings to create-your-own entrées without an additional charge for the first portion. “Diptember” therefore promotes variety while pointing back to the chain’s customization model.
What happens next is a measurement question. The useful signals will be digital redemption, add-on attachment and repeat visits across the two-month window—not simply how many people try the new queso once.
