How Braisepoint reports
Editorial Standards
Braisepoint exists to make restaurant-industry developments useful without sacrificing accuracy, context or independence.

Accuracy and verification
Articles should be grounded in identifiable evidence such as company announcements, regulatory filings, court records, financial disclosures, public data or reliable original reporting. Important figures, dates, quotations and claims are checked against the strongest available source before publication.
Independent writing
Braisepoint does not copy source articles or disguise promotional material as original reporting. Facts may come from primary documents and credited reporting, but Braisepoint's analysis, structure and language must be independently produced.
Fact, analysis and uncertainty
Confirmed facts should be stated as facts. Estimates, allegations, proposals and unfinished transactions must be labeled for what they are. Analysis should explain the evidence behind an inference, and uncertainty should not be converted into a definitive headline.
Sources and attribution
Each story should identify its primary source or clearly attribute the reporting on which it relies. Anonymous sourcing is used only when the information is important, the source is in a position to know it and confidentiality is justified.
Images
Images should come from company media libraries, press materials, properly licensed sources or material Braisepoint is otherwise permitted to use. Captions and context must not misrepresent what an image depicts. A logo or publicity image does not imply endorsement.
Independence and commercial influence
Coverage is not for sale. Advertisers, sponsors, affiliate relationships and access do not receive control over editorial conclusions. Paid or affiliate material will be labeled clearly, and material conflicts will be disclosed when relevant.
Technology-assisted work
Braisepoint may use research, drafting, data and publishing tools to support newsroom work. Tools do not receive final editorial authority. Every published story remains subject to human review for sourcing, accuracy, wording, image suitability and relevance.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected under the Braisepoint Corrections Policy. Readers and sources may send concerns to editor@braisepoint.com.
