Corrections Policy

Accuracy comes before pride. When Braisepoint gets a material fact wrong, the publication will correct it clearly and promptly.

How to request a correction

Email editor@braisepoint.com with the story headline or URL, the statement you believe is incorrect and any supporting documentation or primary-source link.

How requests are reviewed

Braisepoint compares the disputed language with primary documents, direct statements and other reliable evidence. A disagreement over emphasis or interpretation is not automatically a factual error, but substantive challenges will be reviewed on their merits.

What happens when a correction is needed

Minor spelling, grammar or formatting errors may be repaired without a correction note when they do not change meaning. A material factual correction will be made in the article and accompanied by a visible note explaining what changed. Headlines, social language and related material will also be corrected when necessary.

Updates and clarifications

Developing stories may be updated as new verified information becomes available. When an update materially changes a reader's understanding, Braisepoint will identify the addition. Clarifications may be added when accurate wording could reasonably leave the wrong impression.

Removal requests

Published material is not removed simply because it becomes inconvenient. Braisepoint may remove or restrict material when it is legally required, presents a significant safety concern, violates publication standards or cannot be adequately corrected.
