DoorDash is bringing more of a restaurant’s customer relationships into one platform.
The company introduced DashOS on Sept. 30, connecting its marketplace, direct ordering, reservations, loyalty, guest management and marketing products. DoorDash says restaurants can use it alongside existing operations without adopting a separate system.
The idea is to help a restaurant recognize the same guest across different visits and ordering channels. Someone who first orders delivery could later join that restaurant’s loyalty program, book a table or place an order through its website.
DoorDash says that connected view can help operators tailor offers and marketing, encourage repeat visits and reduce manual work. Those benefits are the company’s stated aims; the launch does not establish a guaranteed sales increase for every restaurant.
The company is expanding integrations with Clover from Fiserv, Qu, Checkmate, Chowly, Deliverect, Stream and Urban Piper.
Beginning in 2027, DoorDash plans to give more than 80,000 restaurants using those systems additional access to SevenRooms guest profiles, Online Ordering, In-Store Rewards and Omnichannel Loyalty.
That future rollout is a plan, rather than a claim that all those restaurants already have the expanded tools. The launch announcement does not provide a platform-wide price.
